Wolf Drawings Preserve Ever-Alert Nature Hints at Power Behind Image
Wolf drawings appeal because it's only in the movies that wolves come close to humans. In the wild wolves stay two miles away from humans.
Here you find wolf pencil sketches I drew from life at the Drawingtown Wolf Rescue Preserve. Show off your drawings and
get discovered here.
Tracing is a technique you can use. It helps loosen up your fingers, hand, arm, and you get a feel for the shapes and lines. Tracing also helps your eye "see" the drawing develop helping you remember what you have seen later.
Using a tracer light box as a practice aid is very helpful. Without one, you can print out the sketches time and again to trace over and over.
Is there a Wolf rescue preserve near you? If there is drive out, take a chair and sketching materials. Your entrance fee helps support the preserve. You will notice flaps in the fencing around the acres of preserve. These are used by photographers. Often the preserve charges photographers to record the wolves and use the images in different media. The fees are used to maintain and humanely care for the wolves.
