Pencil Flower Drawings Before Coloration
Simple pencil flower drawings grow more complex by adding more details. Sketching flowers in nature helps you develop a realistic sense of shadows and placement.
The example below is a finished pen and ink drawing from my original sketch. Practice pencil sketching it. Soft lead 2H pencils allow you to create blendable lines. Get discovered. Submit a piece of your finished artwork and I create a
free artist web page just for you here.
Follow the guidelines and I can let you know when your page is live.
Trace over the image to get the feel.

Practice it over and over.
When you are satisfied with the sketch then it's done. If you want to experiment with pen and ink over the pencil then do. It's useful to have a Mars Staedler or kneaded rubber eraser for the pencil lines. I use both for one reason or another. Be certain to let the ink dry completely before you try erasing. Wet ink will smear and ruin your illustration.
