Organizing Home Office Artist's Creative Space
Organizing home office creative space for the artist starts with a mirror.
As artists we often work alone whether we write, draw, sketch, choreograph, paint, whittle, sing, bead.
The mirror reflects you back to yourself. Is your hair washed? Are you dressed ready to merengue with your muse today? Do you see the love you have for yourself and your creativity reflected?
Your creative space is the area you most often go to to work on your art - whatever the discipline.
As an artist myself, I am aware that creating the art itself edifies my life. That's not to say it is easy. The act of sorting through the Pacific-size amount of particulars to create specific art in my voice takes time.
When on the go, wherever I am is where my art studio is, and a mirror is my friend. It automatically crops my view in random space or in my designated creative space, giving my eye a place to rest and see. Likely, that's the best reason for keeping your creative studio organized.
What's your dream for your creative space? Commit to spending ten minutes a day - use a timer that rings - most days to making it a reality. And keep that mirror handy. Together they will help you practice being truthful in your art.
