More Sketching Ideas Prompts
Even more sketching ideas act as a marinade to juicing up your creative practice. What's in the toolkit: thousands of concepts on three pages from thirty prompts.
Try sketching these ...
- Don't stop. Keep moving your pencil and hand over the paper no matter what. Don't let you pencil stop for a full twenty minutes.
- Don't lie. Don't sketch what you think you ought to sketch.
- Don't think. Don't analyze, evaluate, criticize or calculate.
- Go shopping. Sit on a chair at the store or mall and sketch something someone dropped on the floor.
- Pick two odd things to sketch together like lollipops and mustard.
- Sticky fingers.
- A sore throat lozenge for a giraffe to scale.
- Using a human subject express the quality of friskiness.
- Do two sketches: each of a boy crying. Experiment by changing the light and shadows.
- If you need anything, just whistle.
