Give Fantasy Sketches a Backbone!

Fantasy Sketches Drawings As Observations: The World Shows Us ... Why Don't We Look?

Imagine the creative force of the universe kabooming you into waking up to the muse of fantasy artwork.

My name is Mitchell and that's my story. Growing up I never had the least bit of interest in art. In high school I took my one required art class. Unfortunately, I didn't find one project that got me thinking or motivated to explore creating artwork.

About three months ago that all changed.

In my Mom's attic, hidden behind a couple of boxes, I found a canvas still in its plastic shield. And all of a sudden I thought to myself, "Let's see what I can do with this."

Off I went to buy some acrylic paints and brushes. I went home and let loose on the canvas.

I've never been the same since!

Creating art is my true passion and I am truly in love with it. Although I have no formal training under my belt (other than that high school class ... which I don't think counts), I plan on returning to school in the near future and find an art program that fits me.

There's much for me to learn and I'm ready to learn every bit.

Walking A Thin Line is the subtitle of this artwork.

I write to you from Italy. Your work seems to me to give a political comment like in your title. The image explodes to make us look. Thank you.

*****Note from Bill

Mitchell, it was your lucky day when that canvas found you and brought you to art. You show talent. Keep experimenting and practicing with different media and techniques outside formal classes to grow artistically. Good composition and use of color.

*****Note from Malla

Our community of artists enjoy and appreciate learning from each other. Next time you submit artwork, maybe you could share a little bit more about your process. For example, do you think about what you plan to paint? Do you sketch an idea before you add paint? Do you layer acrylics or other media? Something else?
