Drawings of Flowers Watercolors
Drawings of flowers like the geranium below is a finished watercolor.
To get to a finished piece requires practice every day. To get better trace over the drawing to get the feel of the shapes that make it up. A light box or opaque projector can help with your practice. Get discovered on

Note that the leaf edges are lobed, not smooth. Depending on the variety the leaves have light and dark patterns. Sometimes it looks as if the leaves are banded. Long stalks hold up the bloom head. The flower itself is a cluster rather than a single bloom.

Geraniums come in a variety of colors including red, pink, white, yellow, fushchia to purple. Some varieties of geranium are cultivated and distilled for essential oils used in healing or perfumes. Find

Geraniums probably made their way from South Africa to the botanical garden in Leiden before 1600 A.D. on ships that had visited the Cape of Good Hope.
