Comic Art Collective is a forum for fans to view and buy art directly from alternative comix artists including Rick Altergott, Peter Bagge, Jim Blanchard, Daniel Clowes, Mary Fleener, Dean Haspiel, Tony Millionaire, Pat Moriarity, Eric Reynolds, Johnny Ryan, Kevin Scalzo, Pete Sickman-Garner, and Kurt Wolfgang.

Popular Culture Association and American Culture Association enable scholars and graduate students to discuss with colleagues worldwide research interests, and join-in the discussion and activities of these internationally recognized organizations.

The Belgian Centre for Comic Strip A r t (Dutch: Belgisch Centrum voor het Beeldverhaal, French Centre belge de la Bande dessinée) focuses on the history of Belgian comics.

When you find yourself next in Brussels, you will discover the center located in a former department store in the business district. A highlight of any visit is exhibits of comic strips in French, Dutch and English.

Science fiction, wild west, crime and politics, as well as children's comics such as The Smurfs round out the full range of the comics covered.

Belgium's most famous comic characters Tintin and Snowy and their creator Hergé are the focus of a permanent exhibit including style, history, and life-size models of characters and sets from Tintin's adventures.

The historic building, was designed by the Belgian art nouveau architect Victor Horta, and houses a gift shop, research library and restaurant on the ground floor.

Comic A r t Community and C o m i c A r t Fans are other very active sites featuring auctions for original comic art and related commissions. Plus there's a message board to assist collectors and those interested in sharing their collected works and knowledge of the hobby with others.
