Draw Cartoon Frogs, Hearts,
Kids, Penguins, Sun Today

Draw cartoon frogs, hearts, kids, penguins, sun, and more! Start with paper, pencils. Add details with colored markers, watercolors, and pastel pencils.

Here you find finished art as examples. Create your own and submit them here. You might try animating your own humorous art using animation software. Or you may be satisfied creating pencil drawings.

I used the same tips below to create playful amphibians with emotion.

Tips: See how shifting the eyes turns them into characters. They act as if they have something going on in their minds. These green leapfrogs are doing only one thing. This fixes the viewer's attention and interest.

Keep the background water and shoreline simple. Doing this also helps rivet the viewer and wondering what will happen next.

Now try to make a storyboard to tell the story. A storyboard can be as simple as sketching out a few panels side-by-side. It's like a comic strip. Use your cartoon frogs to move the story you are trying to tell forward.

Think about the result of what the frogs are doing. By adjusting a panel on your storyboard, you can change what the viewer is thinking.

Draw cartoons by clicking the following links for more fun. And practice, practice, practice every day. That's how every artist - professionals like myself included - gets better and better.

You can display your finished cartoons here. It's free and will remain so.

With warmest regards,
